Tofu fishies with a little ketchup to dive into, organic tater tots, lightly steamed broccoli, and grapefruit segments.
Verdict: These fishies were nice and crunchy (thanks to my friend Heidi for the recipe!). Everything was "tasty" he tells me, although he's used to his broccoli being piping hot, not tepid. Such are the limitations of the packed lunch. 4 stars.
i would love the recipe for those fishsticks if you have the time! they look delicious, as do all your lunches. i'm amazed! :)
ReplyDeleteI think that I would have to agree with little shmoo about the broccoli, but this lunch still looks great. Vegan fish and tots. Yum.
ReplyDeleteAnything with broccoli and I'm sold!
ReplyDeleteDid you know that IMBB this month is about vegan foods, Jennifer? A lot of food bloggers will be cooking up some vegan goodies (hopefully).
thank heavens for you! such great idea, i tell ya. someone was kind enough to make a feed onto livejournal. i'm excited to see what you come up with next.

Hi, anonymous! Can you email me? Look in my profile to send me a message, include your email and I will get back to you. Thanks! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your use of cookie-cutters, on the fishies as well as the cat and fish, but I'm really still crackin gup over the leaves.
ReplyDeleteYou're billiant, Jennifershmoo!
I love the LJ rss feed, too.
You may want to consider a lunch jar like "Mr Bento" or "Ms Bento" for the hot lunches. :)
ReplyDeleteHTH!
A friend pointed me in this direction when I asked her about finding fake seafood. I've only been vegetarian since June, and am still feeling my way around. I've had such fun looking at all the inventive meals you've come up with.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say what an awesome thing you are doing, both in your care for your son and in sharing this so that others may enjoy it.
May I get a copy of the "fish" stick recipie?
Here it is!
