Bloggie Finalist!

My little Vegan Lunch Box is an honest-to-God finalist for Best Food Blog in the 6th Annual Weblog Awards (aka the "Bloggies")!

Check it out and vote for me here (scroll down the page to "best food weblog", click on Vegan Lunch Box, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and hit "Submit your votes!").

And remember, "A Vote For Me is a Vote For Veganism"! Really, it's so cool seeing a vegan site up there contending with omnis. It's like when I enter my vegan cookies at the county fair. Only, you know, bigger.

I voted for you! It really is great to see vegan food up there with all the 'normal' stuff. Good luck!

Just discovered you today, coming from Treehugger... Your son is a lucky, lucky boy—and he'll make an amazing example for other in his life. I love that he's already doing that, helping moms convince their children that healthy food can equal love and fun. And, hey, I'm not a kid, and I'm thrilled by the myriad ideas your blog is giving me for my own lunches. I'll be voting for you... good luck, and just know, whether you win a Bloggie or not, your focus and creativity are much appreciated!!

I recently found your site and it's great. My kids loved their lunches today, which were inspired by looking around your site.

I also voted... I'm not a vegan, but I do love my veggies and those lunches you make for your son are just fabulous, it makes me consider becoming a vegan...

In the past few weeks I have snached some of your recipies and ideas for lunches and my husband and 2 year old daughter have really responded well, to them... so I suppose you don't have to be a vegan to enjoy these types of foods...

Thanks for all of your great ideas..
and please keep this blog going...hope you win the weblog award...

Jennifer,

I just voted for you. AND, I posted an "all hands on deck" request for votes on the Weight Watchers Veggie Board (you've got quite a following there!).

Good luck!

You're welcome, Jennifer.

The board's kinda quiet right now (I always forget not everyone is on PST)......so I'll repost it in the morning.

I'm not even vegetarian and I love your site and read it every day. I do have dietary restrictions around dairy and it's nice to look at and read about stuff that doesn't have any, it's an inspiration. Plus, Lil Shmoo rocks!

Definitely voted for you! I love your site and all the yummy food you make. :) I'm vegetarian but really enjoy vegan food as well. In fact, I just tried yves cheese, and its fantastic! I may just go vegan in the near future since I'm practically there already. :) Anyway, I hope you win. Best wishes!!

Congratulations Jennifer!

I just posted about your bloggie award status on the International Vegetarian News list (some 425 members) and I've encouraged some vegan-related e-newsletter editors I know to do the same.

Anyway, I first blogged about your site back in November. Just so creative, upbeat, and a wonderful concept. Quite the "vegan activist" accomplishment.

Way to go! Best regards, Mark

Woo hoo! Thanks Mark and everyone for voting and spreading the word!

I'm just happy that veganism will be getting some good exposure from this. I added some new links (Vegan Outreach, VegCooking, Erik's Diner) so all the non-veg visitors can find out more.
