Book Signing this Saturday

For those of you who are lucky (yes, lucky) enough to reside in eastern Washington state, I will be doing a Vegan Lunch Box Book Signing this Saturday, December 2nd, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Kennewick Library (1620 S. Union St.).

Come say hi, buy a copy of Vegan Lunch Box and have it signed in person. If that's not enough incentive to leave your cozy house and face the brutal Mid-Columbia cold, note that this book signing will be powered by FREE VEGAN DONUTS.

That's right, we will be sampling some recipes from the cookbook along with a whole heap of vegan donuts and cookies from Nutrilicious Natural Bakery, who made me the happiest person in the world yesterday by sending us an entire box filled with vegan, donutty love.

Good luck on your book signing. I've really been enjoying reading my copy. My kids won't eat lukewarm entrees for lunch so I think I'll be making your lovely dishes for the whole family at dinner.

The mini Wellingtons are so cute. Do you think that covering them with your croissant dough would work?

i am about ready to bust, i am so eager for my copy of the cookbook! i've been tracking it but it looks like either the post office lost it or the postal workers are borrowing it to make themselves a nice lunch! *pout* *whine* *sigh*

YAY! I received my copy of your book a few days ago. Am soooo happy with it. Wish there were more pictures, but at least I can always come here to see your pretty lunches!

That's it! I'm packing up and moving to Washington from upstate NY... except it seems like you guys are having a colder winter than us!!

Good luck at the signing, and wowza on those donuts.

Sounds like fun! I've never been a donut fan, but my husband and kids have to have one occassionally. Therefore, I was forced (not really, I love baking and cooking) to make them some a couple of weeks ago. They ate them up like it was their last meal. Have fun!

>>Jennifer- I made your empanadas this past weekend. That easy pie crust recipe is out of this world. I grew up eating empanadas every week (we call them "pastelillos" in Puerto Rico), and I can tell you that these baked ones were 100 times better than my mom's fried ones.

WOO HOO! That's great to hear!! Well, maybe not if I were your mom, but it's great for ME to hear!! LOL

Jennifer,

Can you post your book signing schedule? I'd love to be able to plan far enough ahead to get my cookbook signed!

Thanks!

Um, this was it, actually. I don't have any more book signings planned in the near future, although I might do more if the opportunity arises. :-)

I balked at ordering the cookbook because it is kind of pricey, but I had an amazon.com gift card and decided to splurge. I am so happy I did! Ir arrived on Friday and the recipes look really easy. I liked the allergy index too, I am trying to cut back on wheat. I find that I am too tired often to cook proper dinners, so I make lunch my special meal of the day. Having a good lunch keeps me from being tempted to eat food court junk. I am eager to try the lentil rice balls, and the soup recipes.
