Contest Update

Thank you so much to everyone who entered my Vegan Lunch Box Contest. The deadline for entry was yesterday. I've been enjoying looking at all the yummy lunch pics and reading your wonderful, creative descriptions. Good job, everyone!

Wow, it's going to be tough: there are over 50 fabulous entries and I'm going to have to narrow it down to 5. It makes me wish I had more books to give away!

The five lucky winners will be notified via email on September 1st (my birthday!), and their lunches will be featured here on the blog throughout the month of September. So stay tuned!

Aw, I guess I missed that. I should check the blog more often. I really need to order your book! I asked for it for Xmas and it was out of print when my dad tried to order it...but now it's back! Yea!

Wow, a lot of entries! I am so excited to see if I got one or not. Here's to hoping, my daily lunches could use a little pick me up!

Jennifer -- Yes, I deleted the comment for you, although you needn't have worried. It didn't bother me or sound too "spammy". :-)

First of all Happy Birthday!!

I've recently discovered your blogs and made the vegan goldfish for my daughter who has milk/soy protein intolerance (MSPI) and she absolutely LOVES them!!! Asks for them at every meal and in between!!

The reason for my comment is that I couldn't figure out how to email you. I run a website on MSPI mostly for kids http://mspikids.info and would love to put that recipe on it. But since it is copywrited I obviously need your permission. Can you please email me so we can talk about if you would be ok with that? My email there is tracey @ mspikids . startlogic . com without any of the spaces though!! I also blog her journey at http://journeyforjenny.wordpress.com if you'd like to also see it so that you can see that I'm not some sort of spammer etc.

Thanks for your time and a HUGE thanks for the recipe!!

Happy Birthday Jennifer!

I too am looking for your e-mail address! I am the host of a radio show called Returning to the Body Mind. I would love to have you on the radio show. (I have had other vegan cook book authors on including Dreena Burton and Brendan Brazier). Anyway, I've just had an opening for September which might work well for you and the back to school theme. Please e-mail me at info@melissawest.com and we can discuss off-blogger!

First, Jennifer, I preordered your book from amazon and have been enjoying it very much since its arrival. I've been reading your blog for a few months and it's fantastic. From your book, I allowed my daughter to go through and pick a few things to try. She picked the inari rolls, pepperoni pizzas, and the cute sandwich cutouts. Boy, was I surprised to see the canned inari rolls for $6.99/can at my local Asian grocer. But they're imported, so ... anyway, thanks for re-releasing the book. Wish you'd do a whole series. Just reading through this book tells me your'e a fantastic mom. You do so much for your son. Make the rest of us look bad. :-) And Happy B-day! September 1st is my birthday, too!

jennifer, I have the first version of your cookbook. Did I read somewhere in your blog that there are many new recipes in this new edition? If that's the case I'll buy the new one and give my old (dog-eared, stained) copy to a friend! Thanks!
And Have a wonderful Birthday!

Wow, belated happy birthday to you Jennifer!

I'm so annoyed with myself - I was going to enter the competition just for fun but I forgot to send in photos! :/

Bought & received your book a couple of weeks ago and am MEGA IMPRESSED!!! I already have about 20 sticky flags hanging out of the book re: recipes I want to try!

P.s. I think I cut my tofu fish sticks too thin because they went kinda hard and chewy in the oven... :( oh well, better luck next time, huh? The coating stuff was delicious anyway though!!!

Keep up the good work :D

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY TO YOU! I just wanted to drop a note congratulating you with the success of the book. Would you believe that I saw an article in my local paper here in Southern California, Orange County Register, Front page of the Life & Food section, praising your book as a way to get kids out of their lunch box rut?
